En route to his meeting at the White House, the PM and the rest of the world read that the president believes he’s leading Israel to wrack and ruin.
Hello, Mr. Prime Minister. You’re attempting to maintain “a chronic situation” as regards the Palestinians. You’ve been pursuing “more aggressive settlement construction over the last couple years than we’ve seen in a very long time.” There’ll come a point, you know, “where you can’t manage this anymore, and then you start having to make very difficult choices: Do you resign yourself to what amounts to a permanent occupation of the West Bank?… Do you perpetuate, over the course of a decade or two decades, more and more restrictive policies in terms of Palestinian movement? Do you place restrictions on Arab-Israelis in ways that run counter to Israel’s traditions?” But other than that, Mr. Prime Minister, welcome to the White House.
Until he read the breaking news of President Obama’s earth-shattering interview with Bloomberg’s Jeffrey Goldberg on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might have anticipated that Monday’s meeting was going to be one of his less confrontational and unpleasant sessions of frank, allied diplomacy with his good friend Barack.
Sure, the stakes were always going to be high: The president was going to be urging Netanyahu to assent to Secretary of State John Kerry’s framework proposal for continued peace talks. And the prime minister was going to be urging Obama to toughen his demands on Iran, to ensure that the ayatollahs are deprived of the wherewithal to build the nuclear weapons they swear they don’t want to build, just on the off-chance that they might be lying.
But Netanyahu, his aides had long been indicating, was ready to accept the framework proposals — as a non-binding basis for further negotiations. So no need for confrontation there. And he must have held out little hope that he was going to shift Obama’s stance on Iran, however powerful he believes his arguments to be. So not much point in confrontation there, either.
But then came that bombshell Bloomberg battering.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz continues to Interfere with AIPAC-supported pro-Israel Iran Legislation.
Did she or Other Democrat Leaders pressure AIPAC to cover for her???
Reading Adam Kredo’s piece below, one might ask: Are there any limits to Congresswoman and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s Chutzpah???
She often tells us – as she does in this testy interview with Andrea Mitchell – that as “a Jewish member of Congress, [she brings] her love of Israel to work every day”. (The entire interview is classic, but specifically go to the 3:30 and 4:50 marks for the relevant comments.) Perhaps there are few if any impediments to DWS’ political ascent, but that does not shield her from being exposed for her anti-AIPAC and anti-Israel dealings, which are in contradiction to the will of her very pro-Israel district with a large and affluent Jewish constituent base.
DWS’ clandestine efforts to influence otherwise pro-Israel Democrats to oppose Congressional efforts to legislate Iran sanctions were so outrageous as to lead our good friends at ECI to circulate a powerful video ad that aired during recent Sunday talk shows and football playoff games.
Furthermore, a baseless email from a pro-Obama Democrat AIPAC National Board member who enjoys his “access” doesn’t give Wasserman Schultz a pass.
AIPAC Gives DWS Cover for Anti-AIPAC Lobbying Campaign
DWS still opposed to AIPAC-supported legislation

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.) / APFlorida Democratic Party donors affiliated with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) are coming to the aid of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.), who has come under fire in recent weeks over her efforts to quietly block new Iran sanctions measures in the House and Senate.
- AIPAC board member, DWS donor releases statement defending DWS
- Former chair of National Jewish Democratic Council lashes out at Free Beacon
- AIPAC had asked supporters to call DWS for response to Free Beacon, Huffington Post articles
AIPAC’s initial letter on the controversy, which circulated two weeks ago, urged Wasserman Schultz’s constituents to “respectfully ask” that she clarify her position on the congressional measures and issue a statement supporting them.
However, on Jan. 24, AIPAC’s Southeastern states director Mark Kleinman issued a second letter, this one defending Wasserman Schultz.
Some pro-Israel activists in South Florida are not happy about AIPAC reversing course to defend Wasserman Schultz, who continues to stand in opposition to the group’s own legislative efforts.
” What was concluded in Geneva…is NOT an historic agreement. It’s an historic MISTAKE…
This agreement has made the world a much more dangerous place…[and] in direct contravention of U.N. Security Council Resolutions…
Without continued pressure, what incentivedoes the Iranian regime have to take seirous steps to dismantle the centrifuges or plutonium reactors…
Israel is NOT BOUND by this agreement…We will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapons capability. “

Ex-Chief of Staff and Campaign Manager to “Freshman” Miami Democrat U.S. Congressman Joe Garcia (D) Headed to Jail in Absentee Ballot & Voter Fraud Case
Media Double Standards, as usual.
It’s a shame that mere allegations of impropriety cost former GOP Congressman David Rivera re-election last November, yet while full-blown felonies and voter fraud surround Democrat Rep. Joe Garcia, he remains untouched.
Hopefully 2014 will change that, but we do miss having our good friend David Rivera in office.
